Surprise visitor

We discovered a surprise visitor in my basil plant which I bought from a local farm. I had trimmed off the top leaves and made pesto (YUM!). Then I was cleaning out the dead leaves underneath, and saw what I hoped was a rock... NOPE. It was this:

Um... EWWWWW! Mike relocated our visiting slug to the grass outside. Blech.

  1. Gosh, it's kind of pretty. Or you're just that good at taking pictures.

  2. I was amazed on seeing the picture too actually! He didn't look that cool in person... remember, I thought it was a rock! :) The flash went off on my camera, and it managed to catch all the details on him! (or her!)

  4. That is something you are going to have to get used to Tammy, slugs are everywhere out there! I actually don't mind them at all, even the dark black ones. As long as they stay outside that is.
